Join the community for the 16th annual Walk for Reconciliation on National Indigenous Peoples Day in Calgary. The walk begins at Harry Hays Building and ends at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland, where participants can enjoy a free community meal and cultural programming. This family-friendly event invites people of all ages to reflect on reconciliation through shared experiences including live drumming, dancing, and storytelling. Explore Blackfoot culture at the new exhibit Kípaitápiiyssinnooni (Our Way of Life) and connect with Métis interpreters at Calgary’s oldest home, the Hunt House. This free event is held rain or shine and encourages participants to bring blankets or chairs to enjoy the outdoor program.
