Immerse yourself in Ukrainian culture in Vegreville at the Pysanka Festival. Held annually over an early July weekend, this festival offers many opportunities to experience a wide variety of Ukrainian culture. There is something for the whole family; try some perogies and borscht or freshly baked bread; enjoy live demonstrations of blacksmithing and leather working; make something at the craft corner; and shop at the Yarmarok marketplace. There is also a full showcase, including dance competitions, musical performances, and the Pysanka Games. And while you’re in Vegreville, be sure to stop by the world’s largest Ukrainian-painted egg for a great photo op!
