Ukrainian Day

Ukrainian Day at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is a vibrant celebration of Ukrainian culture, tradition, and community. Co-hosted with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council, the event features an afternoon concert showcasing outstanding Ukrainian dance and music performed by groups from across Alberta. Guests can explore a lively community showcase and market highlighting cultural organizations, local artists, and vendors offering a wide variety of Ukrainian goods and services. The event offers a festive atmosphere where heritage, creativity, and community pride come together. Set within the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, an open-air museum depicting early settlement in east central Alberta from 1892 to 1930, the site celebrates its 50th anniversary as a provincially owned and operated attraction in 2025. Visitors can explore more than 35 restored historic buildings and engage with costumed interpreters throughout the village.
