Audiences follow storytellers along a 2-hour route through downtown Sylvan Lake, stopping at surprise locations where comedies, dramas, entertaining tales and amusing local history unfold. Plays are written specifically for the shops and businesses they inhabit, so each scene feels rooted in the town’s character. Actors appear as servers, customers and locals going about their day, then shift into unexpected moments of tension, humour or romance. Around 30 theatre artists, historians and crew collaborate each August to build this unique audience adventure for its September premiere, with 4 shows daily so visitors can choose a time that fits their plans.
