The Memorial Ranch Scramble & Ranch Broncs

The Memorial Ranch Scramble & Ranch Broncs in Cochrane offers a high-energy rodeo-style fundraiser where visitors can cheer on teams and support education. This memorial event brings cowboys, cowgirls, family and friends together at the Cochrane Lions Club and Events Centre to honour riders taken too soon. Teams of five tackle ranch-style challenges including branding, tie down, sorting and penning, and doctoring, with the top teams returning for a short go decided by a head and heel event. Rodeo fans can then watch the ranch bronc riding, featuring an open division tour stop on the Bronc Star Tour, followed by a ladies division sanctioned by the Women’s Ranch Bronc Championships. The top ten riders in the standings compete for the Canadian Championship and a coveted spot at the World Finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days in July.
