The Great Pumpkin Smash

Get ready for a smashing good time at the Esplanade! Join them from 1–3:30 PM for the annual Great Pumpkin Smash, a free, all-ages Halloween event filled with pumpkins, creativity, treats, and spooky fun. Costumes are encouraged! Send a pumpkin flying from the Esplanade terrace, then stick around for more Halloween fun, including live music from Sounds of Thunder, free face painting, a spider web art activity, the Sunshine Learning Bus, complimentary cookies and treats, and the Road-Runner Smash and Dash food truck. Free pumpkins will be available for smashing while supplies last. Pumpkins are locally sourced and will be used for livestock feed after the event. Plus, catch The Boo Revue! by Puppet Stuff Canada at 3 PM in the Main Theatre. This outdoor event is weather-dependent.
