Summer Writers Readings - Chapter 2

Hosted by Eric Sneathen, Literary Cabaret is an energizing evening of poetry and prose readings, part of the Summer Writers residency at Banff Centre. Over three nights, audiences can enjoy intimate performances by emerging writers and faculty mentors alike. Eric Sneathen, a poet and queer literary historian, leads this chapter. He is the author of Snail Poems (2016) and Don’t Leave Me This Way (2023), and co-editor of Honey Mine (2021), the selected fictions of Camille Roy. Guests are invited to enjoy drinks from the bar, explore a curated book selection at Pages Books, and soak in the vibrant literary atmosphere. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with readings starting at 7:00 p.m. Afterward, there’s time to mingle with the writers and faculty until 9:30 p.m. This event is a must-see for anyone passionate about the future of creative writing.
