Ponoka Stampede

Ponoka Stampede in Ponoka offers a week-long pro rodeo and chuckwagon experience that immerses visitors in authentic Western heritage and excitement. Rooted in a two-day event that began in 1936, this renowned rodeo has grown into one of the top 10 rodeos worldwide. Visitors can watch elite rodeo athletes from across North America compete for over half a million dollars in prize money on outstanding rodeo stock. Beyond the arena, the event features concerts, a midway, dances, parades and community celebrations. As the largest CPRA-approved rodeo, it also focuses on preserving Western values by supporting recreation and education opportunities for Alberta youth.
