Open Farm Days | Skunkworks Distillery in Calgary offers small-batch moonshine tastings and tours that showcase smooth, gluten-free spirits. Founded in 2019 by two friends with deep family roots in moonshine making, this distillery focuses on recreating the smooth, high-quality ‘Shine once saved for weddings and special occasions. Every bottle is crafted in a 200-litre (53-gallon) still, making Skunkworks one of the smallest distilleries in Alberta. Spirits are distilled from processed sugar beets sourced in Taber, Alberta, creating a clean, subtly sweet and remarkably smooth neutral spirit that is 100% gluten-free. Visitors can tour the distillery to see the still in action, sample moonshine, order from the cocktail menu and relax on the sunny patio.
