Hartell Homestead in Foothills offers farm tours and a vibrant shop so visitors can meet animals and take home local food. Guests can browse a busy farm shop with beef, pork, bison, Highland, chicken and fresh vegetables grown on-site, plus foods and crafts made in Foothills County. Visitors are encouraged to bring a cooler so they can stock up on truly local ingredients after their visit. Free farm tours run every hour on the hour and include meeting Highland cattle, ducks, chickens, pigs and goats, as well as seeing the market garden and grain fields. Along the way, guests learn how the farm uses rotational grazing, water management and multi-species farming to grow both food and healthy soil.
