Open Farm Days at Beck Farms Ltd., located near Red Deer County in Alberta’s Central Prairies, offers greenhouse and facility tours that showcase fresh local produce. Established in 1986, Beck Farms has spent decades mastering the art of cultivating carrots and has grown into a family-run operation led by Shelley and Rod Bradshaw and their sons Kurt and Brent. Visitors can see how the team focuses on producing and packing high-quality vegetables while learning about the care that goes into every harvest. During Open Farm Days, guests can join a guided greenhouse tour, view field equipment on display, and explore the state-of-the-art grading, packaging and storage facility. Alongside their signature carrots, the farm grows cole crops, dill, peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, corn, melons and several handmade preserves, giving travellers a close-up look at diverse prairie agriculture.
