Open Air High River

This lively outdoor concert brings together five exceptional artists in a vibrant program that blends folk traditions, romantic gems, and tango flair. From the spirited rhythms of Bacewicz and Bartók to the expressive depth of Franck and Brahms, the afternoon flows through centuries of musical storytelling. Open Air High River features intimate duos, dynamic trios, and playful piano four hands—including Piazzolla’s haunting Tanti Anni Prima and the cinematic I’ve Seen That Face Before. Honens Artistic Director Jon Kimura Parker teams up with pianist Jani Parsons for joyful four-hand moments throughout the afternoon. All five artists join forces for a fiery finale with Piazzolla’s Michelangelo 70. Two pianists, percussion, accordion, and violin unite for an unforgettable celebration of connection, energy, and artistry—under the open sky.
