Online Films Screening

Online Films Screening, located in Banff in the Canadian Rockies, offers a free online short-film program that deepens understanding of Indigenous cultures. Curated by the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, this virtual screening shares powerful stories and voices from Indigenous filmmakers during National Indigenous History Month. Viewers can stream a lineup that includes Borrowed from the Earth, En Plein Air, The Hard Way, Iikaiksimatsa’pao’p (Grateful to Be on the Land), and Shaped by Land. Films are available online from June 21–27 at no cost, making it easy for travellers and film lovers to participate from anywhere. Guests can also explore additional free Banff Centre programming throughout June, including jewellery and dance workshops, storytelling sessions, and a virtual art marketplace that highlights Indigenous creativity.
