Niitsitapi Ambassador Powwow Exhibitions

Niitsitapi Ambassador Powwow Exhibitions in Waterton Park invites guests to learn about Indigenous culture through live dance and storytelling. Travellers can meet Niitsitapi Ambassadors during the Waterton powwow exhibitions at the Waterton Visitor Centre Plaza, surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Southern Rockies. Each session offers an opportunity to see traditional dance up close and hear about the meaning behind the regalia, songs and movements. The experience runs from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Tuesday until August 4, giving visitors a set time to plan their visit. Offered in collaboration with the Blackfoot Canadian Cultural Society, these exhibitions provide a respectful introduction to local Blackfoot culture and traditions in an accessible, outdoor setting.
