Midnight Channel (Lethbridge, AB) is a boundary-pushing jazz collective renowned for its powerful live shows, which blend deep groove, wild improvisation, and emotional honesty. Following a sold-out performance at Sled Island opening for Makaya McCraven—and the breakout success of their debut album Gemini Sunrise, which reached the Top 10 on national jazz charts—the group now premieres music from their upcoming release Alien Love Songs, out September 12. This 90-minute set traverses a range of moods, including chaotic free jazz, cinematic rhythms, soaring guitar anthems, tender ballads, and meditative modern grooves.
