In 1980 the Medicine Lodge Rodeo was started by Alma Anderson. The Medicine Lodge Rodeo is a family-run event which is held each year on the second full weekend in May. Join them, where the thrills and spills and that old-time western hospitality is sure to bring you back year after year. The typical rodeo events include saddle bronc, bareback, novice horse riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, Jr and Sr barrel racing, junior steer riding, Jr bull riding, tie-down roping, cowgirl cow riding, and mutton bustin’ for those little cowpokes six and under. There is overnight camping for those attending the rodeo event.
