Le Grand Picnic in Edmonton offers a late summer afternoon picnic experience at Sir Wilfred Laurier Park with everything prepared so guests can simply relax. Travellers pick up a French-inspired picnic box from the reserved Vagabond site, then choose a shared picnic bench beneath the canopy or wander to a favourite spot elsewhere in the park. Picnic tablecloths, candles, firewood and music are provided to set an easygoing, social atmosphere. Each box comes ready to enjoy with disposable plates, napkins, cups and serving utensils included. Guests can bring a picnic blanket and baseball gloves, bat or ball to make use of the nearby diamond. Alcohol may only be enjoyed within the designated Vagabond picnic site and cannot be taken elsewhere in the park unless it is an AP site.
