Lake Chaparral Triathlon

The Lake Chaparral Triathlon is one of Alberta’s longest-running and most respected community triathlons, hosted each August in Calgary’s beautiful Lake Chaparral community. The event offers a rare opportunity for athletes to swim in a private, crystal-clear lake, followed by fast and scenic bike and run routes ideal for both newcomers and competitive triathletes. With multiple distances — from Try-A-Tri to Standard, Kids of Steel and Duathlon — the event attracts a broad range of participants from across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
