Lac La Biche Ice Festival

The Lac La Biche Ice Festival invites winter lovers to plan a weekend packed with high-energy fun on the frozen lake. This signature cold-weather celebration turns the ice into a playground. Spectators can cheer on Ice Car Races, Mega Truck Racing, sled drags, and snowmobiles, while vintage sleds and trapper displays showcase northern heritage. Axe throwing, youth pond hockey, and a wide range of kids’, family, and cultural activities keep every age entertained throughout the day. Beyond the action on the ice, visitors can explore the trade show and job fair, grab warm concessions, and soak in the lively festival atmosphere. It’s a true winter gathering built for friends, families, and crews ready to embrace the season. Ice entry is free for kids 8 and under, $10 per person, or $40 for groups of five to seven. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring cash for select activities, expect some walking, and check the website for the full weekend schedule.
