Gateway to the North Pro Rodeo

Gateway to the North Pro Rodeo in Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement offers three days of pro rodeo action, live music, and family fun in Alberta’s Lakelands. Set at Tom Blyan Memorial Rodeo Grounds, this event runs as part of Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement Cultural Days. Visitors can watch rodeo events, enjoy family activities, and try their luck with 50/50 draws, with free camping steps from the arena. Live music and a Battle of the Bands hosted by Danny Hooper keep the energy high all weekend, with a special appearance by Miss Rodeo Canada 2026, Abbey Harty. Access is via Highway 855, 45 kilometres north of Smoky Lake, with tickets sold only at the rodeo grounds and weekend passes available.
