Free Hoop Dancing Workshop with Champion Hoop Dancer Sandra Lamouche, located in Pincher Creek’s Southern Rockies region, offers a free Culture Days 2026 hoop dance experience that connects movement and story. Travellers are invited to the Town Hall Gym at 962 St John Ave on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 1–3 p.m. to learn basic hoop dancing steps and foundations while exploring Indigenous hoop dance history, teachings and stories. This welcoming workshop is suitable for curious visitors of all ages who want to move, learn and connect with local culture in an engaging way. Facilitator Sandra Lamouche is a member of the Bigstone Cree Nation, a champion hoop dancer, award-winning Indigenous educational leader, TEDx and keynote speaker, and children’s author. Her work is guided by hoop dance teachings of unity, balance, equality and the interconnectedness of creation, offering guests a meaningful cultural experience rooted in Southern Alberta.
