Revive your spirit in an evening with the Calgary Phil as it performs Josef Suk’s soul-stirring “Asrael” Symphony, a moving memorial to Dvořák, his beloved teacher, and Dvořák’s daughter Otilie, who was Suk’s wife. Cree artist Cris Derksen stars in the Calgary premiere of her work inspired by a traditional Indigenous practice used to manage wildfires in which flames are transformed from threat to tool.
