Constantinople Presents Bach and Khayyam for the Edmonton Chamber Music Society

Montreal-based ensemble Constantinople has long promoted the creation of new works that incorporate diverse and historical musical traditions, drawing from medieval manuscripts to contemporary aesthetics, passing through Mediterranean Europe, Eastern traditions, and New World Baroque, with 23 albums and 63 works to their credit. The program features soprano Hana Blažíková singing arrangements of some of the most beautiful spiritual songs and arias of JS Bach in dialogue with poems of Omar Khayyam, in Persian, set to music by Kiya Tabassian.
