Chiseled - Edmonton's Ice Carving Exhibition

Edmonton’s International Ice Carving Competition will be back at the ICE District Plaza Jan. 15-17, 2026! A fascinating aspect of Chiseled is watching the ice carvers transform blocks of ice. Each team is alloted 15 blocks of ice and 34 hours over the course of three days to bring them to life. This year we have five teams of two talented sculptors on each team. It’s worth it to visit daily to watch their progress, but if you can’t make it, the sculptures stay on display until Jan. 27, depending on whether temperatures cooperate! The event is accessible and free!
