Canadian Birkie Ski Festival

Join them for the Canadian Birkie Ski Festival, Canada’s premier classic cross-country ski event, held every second weekend of February. Since 1985, the Canadian Birkebeiner Society has welcomed skiers of all ages to celebrate winter and fitness. Choose from distances ranging from 7 km to 55 km, including the legendary Birkebeiner with pack, honouring the rescue of Norway’s Crown Prince. Families can enjoy Barnebirkie mini-ski events on Sunday, plus festive fun at the Viking Feast and Nordic Fair. New in 2026 -> 12 km Skate Skiing event on Sunday, limited to 100 skiers only.
