Brent Butt is one of Canada’s most celebrated comedians, writers, and performers. Born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, he began his stand-up career at age 20 and quickly rose to prominence, headlining comedy clubs, touring internationally, and appearing at major festivals. He is best known as the creator and star of the hit sitcom Corner Gas, which became one of Canada’s most successful television series, earning international acclaim and an Emmy nomination while airing in more than 26 countries. Brent later created Hiccups, starred in and produced the feature films No Clue and Corner Gas: The Movie, and launched the award-winning Corner Gas: Animated. In 2013, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contributions to Canadian culture. A bestselling author and multi-award-winning entertainer, Brent continues to be one of Canada’s most influential and beloved comedic voices.
