Bat Walks at DNA Gardens

Bat Walks at DNA Gardens in Elnora offers evening guided bat walks that let visitors discover local bat life up close while supporting conservation. On select June and July evenings at 7:30 p.m., guests join bat experts from the Alberta Community Bat Association to explore moonlit trails, listen to an engaging talk, and help with real bat counts as citizen scientists. Families and nature lovers can learn how to “speak bat” while watching these nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. Visitors are encouraged to dress as bats for a chance to win gelato, adding a playful twist to the night. Admission is $30 per carload, with $10 donated to the Alberta Community Bat Association, and camping is available for those who want to extend the adventure under the stars.
