Alberta Indigenous Games

Alberta Indigenous Games, located at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, offers a major multi-sport event that empowers Indigenous youth. In 2026, the Games will bring more than 7,000 First Nations, Métis, Inuit, Native American, and Non-Status First Nation athletes together to compete in 16 sports. With an inclusive format and no tryouts required, youth of all skill levels can participate, build confidence, and develop leadership skills in a supportive environment. Beyond competition, the Alberta Indigenous Games celebrates culture, community, and wellness, creating space for athletes to connect with their heritage and each other. The event strengthens communities, showcases Indigenous excellence, and inspires the next generation through sport, culture, and unity.
