A Walk in the Watershed

Get to know the local watersheds of the Elbow & Sheep rivers on a "Walk in the Watershed". This is a professionally guided hike looks at how water systems work while hiking surrounded by stunning foothills and mountains. Take a walk in the watershed to explore the Sheep River and Indian Oils trail or the Elbow River and Nihahi Ridge Trail. Or Hike to the Headwaters to where it all begins for the Elbow River. This route will visit pristine Elbow Lake and travel through the ancient moraines left by the Rae Glacier, the source of the Elbow River. Along this journey we will talk about the role glaciers play as headwaters and the importance of a sustainable Elbow River Watershed. You can choose to join the Path Less Taken for a day hike or try all three Watershed inspired treks. The dates and locations are follows: Walk in the Sheep Watershed (Indian Oils) - May 19 Walk in the Elbow Watershed (Nihahi Ridge) - May 25 Hike to the Headwaters (Elbow Lake) - June 28, 30 or July 01
