A Taste of Note: & The Spring Equinox

Start the evening at note: comfort food + drink, a cozy eatery inside the historic Hargrave-Sissons Block. Owners Miranda and Bryton want guests to feel at home and feature local artists, local ingredients, and a comfortable space to spend time in downtown Medicine Hat. Enjoy a three-course meal to begin the evening. After dinner, be introduced to the stars and the Spring Equinox with Rod DeVries, an amateur astronomer based in Southern Alberta.  During the equinox, the Earth experiences equal hours of day and night, with the sun rising precisely in the east and setting in the west. This event marks the official transition from winter to spring. Each year, the Earth embarks on a journey around the sun, covering approximately 940 million kilometres, with the equinox serving as one of the key moments in this celestial cycle. Rod will share his expertise throughout the evening, offering insights into the Equinox and the remarkable sights visible in the March night sky.
