A Paintbrush for Piccolo

Audiences are invited to rediscover the magic of endless possibilities in this uplifting musical story. Written by Anne Gatha, with music composed by Calgary Phil violist Arthur Bachmann, the tale follows Piccolo, a child living in the Renaissance who dreams of becoming a famous artist. Along the way, Piccolo finds guidance and inspiration from a loyal dog named Bella and the great Michelangelo himself. The performance features Juliane Gallant as conductor, Jonathan Love as director and actor, and enchanting puppetry by the Green Fools Theatre Society. Guests can arrive early to explore the Instrument Discovery Zoo in the lobby at 2 PM, offering a hands-on musical experience before the show.
