3 Rivers Rendezvous

Since 1998, the Pinch-o-Crow Creekers has kicked off Alberta’s whitewater paddling season, welcoming canoers, kayakers, rafters, and SUP enthusiasts to southwestern Alberta over the May Long Weekend. The club hosts three days of paddling, camping, meals, and evening activities at Castle River Rodeo Campground, offering a fun, family-friendly gathering to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. With more river runs than anywhere else in Alberta, trips are organized on the Castle, Carbondale, Crowsnest, Oldman, Elk, Wigwam, and Bull Rivers. Beginner groups enjoy easier stretches, while advanced paddlers can tackle Grade II–IV runs. The event also features demos and lessons for all skill levels. Visitors can explore nearby hiking and mountain biking trails, fly-fishing spots, historic sites like Frank Slide and Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, and cowboy adventures. Proceeds support the club’s youth programs.
