The world is discovering Alberta’s wellness scene, and it’s causing a bit of envy
Meet Magnus and Ingrid. They’ve travelled a long way to scope out the spas and saunas of Alberta. When they discovered Alberta’s mix of wellness and wilderness, they were worried, while also being quite relaxed.
See their reluctant findings below.
Magnus: The night skies here are just showing off.
Magnus thought they’d enjoy a quiet, understated soak in the Canadian Rockies. Instead, Alberta had to parade its northern lights and endless stars right over their heads. Ingrid also found it highly unnecessary... but incredibly beautiful.
Ingrid: Annoyingly, Alberta doesn’t hibernate in winter.
While some places shut down when the temperature drops, they both discovered Alberta’s rooftop hot tubs and steaming hydrotherapy circuits really come to life. The combination of soothing water and falling snow was the clincher.
Conclusion: Alberta likes to think they have it all.
Are Alberta’s hot pool locations iconic? Yes, they are. Can you find natural cold plunges in glacier-fed waters? Yes, once again. But does Alberta really have everything you need for a relaxing getaway... sadly, that’s another yes.
