Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum
Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in Wembley brings Northern Rockies fossils to life through exhibits and programs for curious visitors. The permanent collection explores discoveries from the nearby Pipestone Creek Bonebed, an area rich in fossils and ancient insights, alongside other significant findings. Opened in 2015, the museum honours renowned palaeontologist Philip J. Currie and his contributions to science in Alberta. Visitors can join Night at the Museum activities, uncover Secrets of the Wapiti River Float or try the Paleontologist for a Day Guided Excavation. A theatre, restaurant, gift shop and outdoor playground round out a family day of dinosaur discovery, just 24 km (15 mi) west of Grande Prairie.
