Hilltop Lake Campground

This campground is the smallest campground operated by Saddle Hills County, but that makes it more appealing. This hidden gem is tucked into the woods on the shores of Hilltop Lake, 61 km (38 mi) north of Grande Prairie. Hilltop Lake completes the idyllic setting. Power boats are not allowed on the lake, which is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. A sandy beach makes it easy to launch your watercraft or to relax after a refreshing swim. The campground has 10 back-in camping stalls. There are also four walk-in sites suitable for tents. The day-use area features fire pits, picnic tables and a playground. The forest setting means the campsites enjoy a lot of privacy and shade. The forest also has ATV-friendly trails and the chance to take a relaxing walk. Camping at Hilltop Lake is free. Reservations are recommended.
