High River’s Historic Murals

Loading...

Discover an intriguing and storied past by taking a walking tour of High River’s historic murals. Commissioned by the High River municipal government as part of a culture and heritage endeavor, a number of murals highlighting the town’s history were painted in the downtown area in the early 1990s. Since then, there have been several new mural additions as well as sculptures and other works from local artists. Visitors are encouraged to walk the route of the street murals, which begin across the road from the Museum of the Highwood. Each mural was created by a local artist and depicts an important person or moment in the history of High River.
