Emerald Bay is a popular picnic spot; the sheltered bay is also a favourite spot for swimmers, kayakers, and paddleboarders. This day-use area is also a great spot for scuba divers to plunge in and explore the wreck of the Gertrude which is an old logging boat sunk in the bay.
