Discovery Wildlife Park in Innisfail’s Central Prairies offers rescued wildlife encounters and family camping that connect visitors with conservation. For over 30 years, the park has provided lifelong homes for orphaned or unwanted animals that cannot return to the wild, giving them a safe place to live comfortably. Daily animal presentations highlight conservation issues and the challenges wildlife face, while close-up encounters let visitors see big cats, bears and wolves in a respectful, educational setting. On site, campers find 48 powered sites, 17 cabins, washrooms, showers and a stocked trout pond for relaxed fishing. Families appreciate the unique play structures in both the campground and park, plus a growing collection of dinosaurs. In winter, the Light the Night display runs evenings from mid-November to early January, inspiring many guests to make a summer visit and holiday lights visit an annual tradition.
