Cotillion Park is one of the campsites included in the "Upper Peace Valley Recreation Area". This Northwestern Alberta project extends for 230km along the Peace River from the Alberta/BC border through to the town of Peace River. The portion of the river at Cotillion Park offers spectacular views. This historic route is the Alexander Mackenzie "sea to sea trail" which follows the path the explorer traveled. Rugged sandstone cliffs weathered into intriguing hoodoo formations; undisturbed parkland forests sheltering moose, deer, beaver, black bear and bald eagles. This pristine parkland with its abundance of wildlife and breathtaking vistas greet the traveler. The Cotillion Campground has electric, non-electric and group camping areas and there is free firewood. A playground, fire pits, picnic tables, a group-use cook shelter, shower house with flush toilets, basic washrooms.
