Hunting Winter Outdoor Activities

Alberta is home to gold-medal trophy hunting. With the right dose of chance and skill, visiting hunters can bag any of nine big-game species. A licensed professional outfitter can lead the way to a trophy cougar, elk, moose, whitetail and mule deer, pronghorn antelope, black bear, or bighorn sheep. • Only here: Alberta’s climate and natural habitat grow big, healthy animals. And long seasons mean prime hunting when the moose call and elks bugle. • Shooting grounds: Warm up with a day on a licensed shooting ground. Borrow some dogs to hunt partridge and pheasant.
