Founded in 1969 by Len and Joyce Pearson, Pearson’s Berry Farm is recognized as the first commercial orchard of Saskatoon Berries in the world. Len took pride in teaching other growers how to grow sustainable orchards on the prairies. There are now at least 300 Saskatoon berry orchards in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba that benefited from his experience.

The Evergreen Farmers Market is Located in Drayton Valley at the Mackenzie Center part of the Omniplex behind the Museum on 5737 45 Ave. The Market runs from March-Dec. and is indoors from 10:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. There are Super Saturday markets on select dates in 2018.

Join The Jungle Farm for this hands on workshop to learn how to make your own jam. You start with a walk to the strawberry patch (bring closed toed shoes) to pick strawberries. Once you have enough strawberries, you walk to their commercial kitchen to turn the strawberries into jam. You will take home the recipe and knowledge of how to make tasty jam at home. You will also have a jar of jam to sample with your family.
