Time-honoured skills of ranching come to our rodeo arena! Cheer on your favourite ranch as teams of working cowboys compete for silver Bar U buckles - and bragging rights! Visitors will be entertained with events such as broke horse racing, team sorting, branding and doctoring.
A community staple since 1977, the Grande Prairie Stompede marks the start of rodeo season. Witness pro rodeo performances as well as several chuckwagon races including those of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association. Take a ride on the midway, visit with artisans at the arts & cultural expo, and kick up your boots at a live concert.
Every August, Whoop-Up Days bring fun and merriment to Lethbridge with a festival, exhibition, and lots of rodeo action. Events kick start with a parade through downtown, and carry on with daily concerts, tradeshow, midway, farmers market and food fair.
Each year, more than one million guests from around the world come to the Calgary Stampede to experience the heart-pounding action of the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, featuring bull riding, barrel racing and more each afternoon. The Chuckwagon races are a Stampede original, with 36 teams of horses and drivers racing to the finish line each night. The excitement is capped off nightly with the Bell Grandstand Show and a fireworks finale that lights up the sky for all 10 nights.The Calgary Stampede is also one of Canada’s largest music festivals, with five stages and 300 performers, including a slate of international music headliners. World-class agricultural events and adrenaline-pumping Midway rides will entertain guests of all ages. You can also experience First Nations culture and traditions at Elbow River Camp in the Calgary Stampede’s beautiful ENMAX Park.
The Kananaskis Rodeo Association is proud to host one of the early CPRA (also PRCA & WPRA) rodeos of the season in Crowsnest Pass. April 24-26, 2020 is your chance to see some of North America's greatest cowboys and cowgirls competing in our indoor arena. All of your favourite events will be here. Watch the contestants throw down in bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie down roping, saddle bronc, team roping, and bull riding.
The Calgary Stampede is called The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth for good reason. For 10 days every July we welcome the world to a spectacular celebration of western heritage and values. It’s North America's premier rodeo and western festival. The year-round multi-purpose facility is also used for agricultural, trade, entertainment, sporting and special events, as well as meetings and banquets.
