The Calgary Stampede is called The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth for good reason. For 10 days every July we welcome the world to a spectacular celebration of western heritage and values. It’s North America's premier rodeo and western festival. The year-round multi-purpose facility is also used for agricultural, trade, entertainment, sporting and special events, as well as meetings and banquets.
The Hanna Indoor Pro Rodeo is held the last weekend of September. It is the last CPRA rodeo of the year in which contestants can gain point to make or break there chance at the CFR. It is held indoors at the Hanna Arena Friday-Sunday. There are a lot of activities that weekend from free pancake breakfasts, gunfights at high noon, mini chucks with the Rodeo Queens, pie eating contests, all horse parade, western art & craft show, and BBQ’s every day. Don’t forget the big dance Saturday night at the Hanna curling rink.
Enjoy a rodeo experience in Sylvan Lake for the Bull Riding Championship finals! It will be an event with two days of rodeo activity! RC Inc. is the largest Canadian owned and operated bull riding company in Canada, and in one of the most popular action sports events in the World. Bull Riders Canada features over 50 tour events in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Montana and North Dakota, capping off the season in Sylvan Lake. All tickets include BRC event and entry into evening cabaret. (Cabaret is 18+ only)
The Kananaskis Rodeo Association is proud to host one of the early CPRA (also PRCA & WPRA) rodeos of the season in Crowsnest Pass. April 24-26, 2020 is your chance to see some of North America's greatest cowboys and cowgirls competing in our indoor arena. All of your favourite events will be here. Watch the contestants throw down in bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie down roping, saddle bronc, team roping, and bull riding.
The CFR will bring together world-class athletes, both human and animal, in a weeklong celebration of rodeo and the rebellious freedom of the western lifestyle that lives strong in Red Deer and Central Alberta. The event will allow both locals and tourists to experience the rodeo and the top-ranked athletes it draws.
