The Kananaskis Rodeo Association is proud to host one of the early CPRA (also PRCA & WPRA) rodeos of the season in Crowsnest Pass. April 24-26, 2020 is your chance to see some of North America's greatest cowboys and cowgirls competing in our indoor arena. All of your favourite events will be here. Watch the contestants throw down in bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie down roping, saddle bronc, team roping, and bull riding.
The annual Cochrane Lions Club Labour Day Rodeo is pleased to offer their fans over 16 exciting events to take in throughout the 3 day Rodeo. They include Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling,Calf Roping, Junior Steer Riding, Novice Horse Riding, Team Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Junior Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Junior Bull Riding, Wild Pony Race, Mutton Busting, Pee Wee Barrel Racing, and Trick Riders. Crowning of the new Cochrane Lions Rodeo Queen. Other events include food trucks, kids play area and live music! Tickets are online or at the gate.
Rockyford celebrates its 5th annual Bullarama alongside Rockyford’s 100th centennial! They will be having an evening full of fun, including Mutton Busting, Mini Broncs, Bull Riding, and Fireworks. There will be a concession open for dinner. Please come out to join the Rockyford Lions club as they put this event together. Ticket Prices: Adults - $20, 17 & under - $15, 6 & under - FREE. It will be a weekend you won’t want to miss.
The 53rd Strathmore Stampede is home to Running with the Bulls, CPRA Pro Rodeo, and World Professional Chuckwagon races held annually on August long weekend and new this year, the RCMP Musical Ride.
Coronation Pro Rodeo Slak begins at noon on Friday, followed by rodeo preformance and dance afterwards. Saturday starts with a pancake breakfast and parade. Pro rodeo to continue in the evening with another dance to follow. Please follow their Facebook page for updates. Food booths and beer garden open on rodeo grounds.
The Hanna Indoor Pro Rodeo is held the last weekend of September. It is the last CPRA rodeo of the year in which contestants can gain point to make or break there chance at the CFR. It is held indoors at the Hanna Arena Friday-Sunday. There are a lot of activities that weekend from free pancake breakfasts, gunfights at high noon, mini chucks with the Rodeo Queens, pie eating contests, all horse parade, western art & craft show, and BBQ’s every day. Don’t forget the big dance Saturday night at the Hanna curling rink.
