The Frank Slide Interpretive Centre presents the history of one of Canada's deadliest rockslides. In the early morning hours back in 1903, millions of tons of limestone crashed from the summit of Turtle Mountain and buried a portion of the community of Frank, a once-bustling coal mining town. Through state-of-the-art interactive displays and exhibits, along with winding trails through the rocks themselves, visitors can get an up-close look at the awesome power of nature.
The largest exhibition facility north of Edmonton, this facility outside Grande Prairie hosts a variety of exhibitions and events and has an onsite casino and live horseracing.
