Bluerock Gallery is a beloved destination for one-of-a-kind fine art and fine craft! We currently represent close to 200 regional fine artists and fine craftspeople and most of them live and work within 100 miles (160 Kilometres) of the gallery!
The Brooks Aqueduct was built over 90 years ago by the Canadian Pacific Railway's irrigation division to serve as a vital link in its expansive irrigation network. The Aqueduct stretched the limits of engineering design and technology, and at the time, it was the largest concrete structure of its kind in the world. Like a giant centipede, it spans a shallow 3.2 km wide valley, suspending a concrete sling 20 metres above the prairie landscape. Once filled with precious water bound for the thirsty croplands of southwestern Alberta, today this national and provincial historic site holds only memories.
The Raymond & District Historical Society was formed in 1989 by citizens of the Town in order to preserve the history of Raymond, Alberta and the surrounding area. The museum boasts a wide range of exhibits and artifacts from the community and actively posts interesting stories from our past on their Facebook page. The Historical Society operates the Raymond Pioneer Museum.
