It all began in 2006, when a collection of home brew equipment was discovered at a garage sale. From kits and bottle conditioning to all grain mashes and forced carbonation, Adam had discovered his passion. Adam and his wife Brittney became beer geeks, going out of their way to find and sample every brew they could and try to recreate them at home. The world of craft beer began to open. Along the way, Dan and Adam meet over their love of fly fishing, and what is fishing without beer. Dan’s deep connection to southwestern Alberta sparked his interest in developing a brewery here. Discussion after discussion, the decision was made to take this vision to the next level. Adam spent a term at Olds College Brewery as an assistant brewer and plans were set in motion. Oldman River Brewing was created and voila Fresh Beer.
