The King Edward Hotel was built in 1904 by Norman Luxton, a newspaper publisher and founder of the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum, and is the second oldest hotel in Banff. These days, the hotel features 21 modern rooms with the usual amenities, like cable television, complimentary WiFi and alarm clocks. Situated at the corner of Banff Avenue and Caribou Street, the hotel is within two blocks of most of the sights, shopping, dining, and entertainment in Banff.
