This bustling year-round market offers an impressive array of local fresh produce, bakery goods, crafts and more. The underlying philosophy of the market, which is still in use today, is, “We Make it! We Bake it! We Grow it! We Sell it!” Now in its 30th year of operation the market rotates a roster of nearly 300 vendors through 185 stalls. On any given Saturday there are over 130 vendors selling only locally produced and handmade products.
Salisbury Farmers' Market is an Alberta approved farmers' market, which supports vendors who make it, bake it, or grow it. We are a year-round market, located outdoors in the parking lot of Salisbury Greenhouse from the third week of April to mid-October, and inside Salisbury Greenhouse for the remainder of the year. The lush scenery of the Greenhouse surrounds the market during our indoor season, providing customers with the feel of a tropical vacation in the middle of the week. Be sure to check us out for support our local vendors.
We are a family owned and operated food retailer. At our store Small Circle Foods, we sell; eggs, lamb, trout, beef, pork, chicken, dairy products, fresh produce, preserves, pies, soaps, wool items, ice cream, stone milled flour, honey, and much more. We aim to inform and educate about our products: where they come from (within 100 miles of us) and how they are produced. We have a gazebo with a table available for a picnic. Who knows, you may encounter a friendly cat or meet a clucking chicken. Come visit us and get your locally produced groceries and learn about the people who have provided them. We are open year-round. Summer hours are; 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. daily. September - May hours are; 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday.
