Tail Creek Raceway consists of 201 acres total, which approx, 40 acres consists of a Motorsports Park. The site has been family owned since the 1960’s and is well known in the racing community since there have been various motorsports events over the years. The Motorsports park consists of a stadium style Motocross track, a 5.1 km baja style course for Endurance Racing, a 3/8 mile Oval, and one of the toughest off-road rock and obstacle sections in the 4X4 World. Also, there is a 15,000 persons amphitheatre style concert bowl. Tail Creek Raceway has also acquired its own stage to continue putting on special events in the heart of Central Alberta.
Since 1882, Northlands Park Racetrack and Casino has brought the best in horse racing to Edmonton fans. The Park, which is open 362 days of the year, continues to provide world-class live and simulcast horse racing experiences, including the ever-popular Annual Canadian Derby, as well as an array of community events and entertainment experiences. The on-site Colours Restaurant offers a buffet menu that changes weekly and a panoramic view of the races. It’s also the only tiered restaurant in Edmonton.
The University of Calgary Outdoor Centre offers programs, trips, and gear rentals for all seasons and skill levels. Our program coordinators are certified professional guides/instructors with many years of experience. We're located on campus beside the Olympic Oval. Everyone is welcome.
