The world-renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is Canada's only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology. Towering high over Drumheller, the World's Largest Dinosaur is open year round for dino-enthusiasts of all ages to explore. Gran Fondo Badlands is one of the top 10 Gran Fondo bicycle events in Canada, offering cycling distances from 50 km to 162 km. Ride your bike along the beautiful Red Deer river valley, take in fabulous vistas, the unusual badlands terrain (watch out for the dinosaurs!), cross the river on the ferry and ride over 10 wooden bridges into Wayne (population of 26) on your way to the Baconsaurus Station. Not into road riding? Try the new Gravel Grinder event - ride your gravel or cross bike and try the extremely challenging 92km event. There are fully stocked aid stations enroute and a great lunch after your ride. Staying overnight? Join the fun at the special pre-event dinner.
