Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park, just east of Lac La Biche, is located on an island that’s connected to the shore by a causeway. This park is a northern playground for camping, swimming, boating, bird watching and other outdoor activities. The campsite, under the canopy of an old-growth forest, offers amenities such as electricity hookups, showers and a concession. Cozy lakefront cabins are also available. Walking trails criss-cross the island and there are several natural beaches. Watch for the many birds and animals that make this wetland habitat their home.
